In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to integrate the sBot Speed – ABB safety system on an ABB GoFa™ robot using the OmniCore™ controller.
The system includes the microScan3 Core – PROFINET safety laser scanner, providing hazardous area protection, safe speed reduction, and a safe stop with automatic restart when a person enters the protective field.
You will learn step by step how to:- set up the PROFIsafe connection
- select the required ABB options in RobotStudio
- configure the protective fields using the microScan3 Configuration Tool – ABB
- validate the safety settings to ensure a compliant, safe, and productive collaborative application
