“Global geometries” allow you to define shapes that apply to all fields and field sets in the Safety Designer.

Global geometries are useful in combination with masked areas, as you only have to define the area in which the scanner sees nothing exactly once.

A possible use case is to cover the chassis or contour of an AGV.
